How To Make Spaghetti With Meat Sauce
Spaghetti and meat sauce
1 pound of lean meat such as beef, turkey, chicken or lamb
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup (130 grams) chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, chopped (1 tbsp)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Chop the crushed red pepper flakes.
1 cup water, broth or dry red wine
1 (28-ounce) tomatoes can be crushed.
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
A handful of fresh basil leaves, and more to serve
12 ounces dry spaghetti or favorite pasta shape
1/2 cup chopped perm cheese
Optional components,
2 to 3 teaspoons fish sauce
Use 3 to 4 of them flat, mince them with some oil or paste the molecules.
Instructions
Make the sauce
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat (we use Dutch oven). Add the meat and cook until browned, about 8-9 minutes. As soon as the meat is cooked, break it into small pieces with a wooden spoon.
Add the onions and stir each time for about 5 minutes until soft.
Stir in the garlic, tomato paste, oregano, and red pepper flakes, stirring constantly for about 1 minute.
Put in water and use a wooden spoon to scrape off any piece of meat or onion stuck under the pot. Stir in tomatoes, 3/4 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of pepper.
. Bring the sauce to a boil. Cook over low heat for 25 minutes. As it cooks, shake and taste the sauce a few times so you can adjust the spice accordingly (see notes for tips).
About 15 minutes before cooking the sauce, boil a large pot of salt water, and then cook the pasta according to the package instructions, but check the donation one or two minutes before the recommended cooking time.
To finish
Remove the sauce from the heat, and then stir in the basil. Put in the cooked pasta, and then leave for a minute so that the pasta absorbs some of the sauce. Toss again, then sprinkle on top and serve.
