How To Make Pumpkin Halwa (dessert) Kaddu ka Halwa
Pumpkin Halwa
This is a very simple recipe for pumpkin pie and the credit goes to my mill. The whole dessert is made in a pressure cooker which saves time and energy. Pumpkin pie
Pumpkin dessert is a sweet pudding made from pumpkin, cardamom, melon seeds and dried fruits.
Ingredients
2.5 to 3 cups chopped pumpkin (pumpkin or flour)
½ Cups of sugar or custom - depending on the sweetness of the pumpkin.
Crush 3 to 4 green cardamoms in a mortar pastel in powder.
2 tablespoons oil or 1.5 tablespoons ghee - Halwa with ghee tastes good
2 teaspoons melon seeds (nuts)
1.5 to 2 tablespoons chopped dried fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachios)
1 to 1 cup water
Instructions
Peel a grate it and cut it into small cubes. The smaller it is, the better.
Heat oil or ghee in a pressure cooker.
Place the pumpkin pieces in a pressure cooker.
And fry until they start releasing water or fry on low heat for about 8-10 minutes.
Add water and stir.
Cover and press the pumpkin pieces and cook for 4-5 sets.
Check the notes below for dessert in a pan.
When the pressure drops, open the lid.
And check that the pumpkin pieces are soft.
They must be permanent.
If they do not cook well, add a little water and cook for a few more minutes if needed.
When the pumpkin pieces are well cooked, put the pressure cooker on the fire and keep boiling.
After 1-2 minutes add sugar and cardamom powder.
Stir the mixture frequently, until it thickens.
The consistency of the dessert should be like kheer or pumpkin puri.
Let the fresh water run low.
You can make it thicker if you want.
Add the melon seeds and nuts and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Serve the pumpkin pie hot or cold.
You can also garnish it with melon seeds.
NoticeIf cooking in a pan, when the pumpkin cubes start to release water, add 3/4 to 1 cup of water on top. Stir and cover and cook until pumpkin pieces are completely soft. If the water is dry, add more water. Then proceed with the rest of the recipe.
